"Clarice found her way to the mansion of a lord. For a long, long time, the lord kept her as his servant, but she was so clumsy he sold her away, to a noble couple who needed a handmaiden for their daughter Ludmilla.
Even though she was a terrible maid, Ludmilla showed Clarice great kindness. She let her borrow her books and do her hair, and over time, they became the best of friends.
Until she grew up and didn't want her anymore. Until she tried to run away.
Why would she do that? Weren't they friends? Was she a bad girl again?

"Clarice was a bad girl for a very long time. She hurt her best friend, then learned to hurt others too. A sorcerer gave her great power in exchange for her freedom, a trade she made all too happily. As long as he wouldn't abandon her, she'd never leave his side.
Little did she know, being left alone was not the same as being forgotten.
Though she had grown into a twisted assassin in their time apart, Ludmilla saw the lonely, scared girl inside Clarice. She forgave her for the terrible things she'd done, and released her from the evil binding her heart. For the first time in her life, Clarice was truly free.
