He replied that meditation nourished her mind, rice nourished her body, and drills nourished her blade. Should any one of these things go dull, all the talent in the world couldn't keep her alive.
Eventually, she saw the wisdom of his words, and channeled her boundless energy into a signature fighting style. Long before she left her master, tales of her unrelenting speed and strength made her enemies tremble."

Instead, she charged them double her usual fee, then turned around and helped their villagers for nothing at all.
Kisara was no fool. She'd learned long ago that many samurai hid behind honor to do terrible things. Even she could not always be a hero. But she could make the world a gentler place the only way she knew how.
She could pass on her wisdom and ideals to an apprentice, as her master had done before her."
